I’m so excited you’re here.  There is nothing that I love more than being with kids, teaching, and speaking zhōng wén (中文/Chinese)! I’ve blended all these things together in my in-home Chinese bilingual preschool in Saratoga Springs. I’m assuming you’re here because raising a bilingual child is important to you as well.  If so, this Chinese preschool will meet all your child’s needs.

According to research, language development and acquisition is easiest to learn during the first 6 years of life.  That means now is the BEST and most important time for children to be exposed to language and foreign language!  If you are thinking about enrolling your child in a Chinese immersion elementary school Xiao Panda Preschool bilingual Chinese preschool is the best start you could give them.  You and your child have a chance to “test the waters” of Chinese immersion and see if it is a good fit.  Preschool Immersion also gives them the skills they need to transition easily into a Chinese program without fear or anxiety.

Xiǎo (小/Small) Class Size: I only accept 9 students per class because I want the students who come to get the attention they deserve.  This is such an important age developmentally; we shouldn’t let them get lost in a crowd of 20 kids!  This also guarantees more time interacting with the teacher in Chinese. 

Daily One-on-One: I schedule individualized instruction into each day, so I truly get to know and cater to each child’s needs and style of learning. As a bilingual Chinese preschool, I teach children core skills and concepts in both English and Chinese.  It’s important to be that children develop a love of learning as they study the ABCs, math skills, and language skills.

Healthy Living: Physical health is important at all stages of life, so I incorporate physical activity, mental wellness, calming and self-regulation strategies, and healthy snacks.  Fruits and/or vegetables are always available as a snack!

Self-esteem Building: I am a huge advocate of the “Growth Mindset” (author: Carol Dweck) and the benefits of using it in the classroom setting to teach children the value of trying new things, learning from challenges and the “Power of Yet!”  Mistakes are just opportunities to continue developing new skills.
